A student may earn the State of Florida High School Diploma by successfully passing a national test called the General Education Development (GED) test. The GED is a battery of four tests in the areas of reading/language arts, social studies, science and mathematics.
The Wakulla County School Board offers and administers the GED in accordance with Florida Statute 1003.435.
The GED test is administered twice a month in Wakulla County. Advanced registration for the GED test is required. The test is administered at the GED testing Center (portable 006) 69 Arran Road, Crawfordville, Fl. It will be necessary for you to make prior arrangements with employers, transportation, etc., so you can attend testing day for which you are scheduled, and to remain until the testing is completed. You can register for your GED at http://myged.com
Students must be residents of Florida. Students must be 16 years of age to be enrolled in the GED Prep program. Students under 18 years of age are required to attend 48 class hours and have written authorization from the Director of Adult Ed. to take the GED test.
